This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a senior mentor for the professional growth of early career employees by offering technical guidance and insights.

• Perform peer evaluations of technical outputs and findings.

• Maintain a high level of expertise in the development, analysis, and verification of space structures, as well as structural design criteria and testing methodologies.

• Publish clarifications, insights, and guidance on technical subjects pertaining to mission assurance and structural verification and validation.

• Provide technical leadership for mission assurance processes related to U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, and NRO missions.

• Conduct independent analyses and assessments, including hardware evaluations, stress analysis report reviews, flight data evaluations, and investigations of flight/test anomalies.

• Lead and coordinate technical studies involving personnel from various organizational levels.

• Assess program risks and offer advice to program offices and clients throughout certification, development, and operational stages.

• Represent the organization at technical meetings, presentations, and symposia.

• Identify, assess, and address issues, anomalies, and challenges associated with aerospace thermostructural technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years demonstrating progressively increased responsibilities.

• Proven ability to establish and sustain excellent working relationships with clients and contractor personnel.

• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-organizational teams throughout all stages of product execution.

• Expert knowledge of the failure mechanics of metallic and composite materials related to common manufacturing and processing challenges.

• Advanced proficiency in using Mentat/Marc, Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys, or other commercial finite element analysis tools.

• Willingness to travel domestically on occasion to work locations or client sites.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance granted by the U.S. government.

• U.S. citizenship is required.
