Senior Test Tooling Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive and enhance the CI/CD infrastructure for TimescaleDB, Toolkit, Data Tiering, and Tiger Lake, leveraging GitHub Actions.

• Take charge of the complete release process, emphasizing automation to make releases smooth and effortless for the team.

• Lead the packaging process and collaborate with the platform team to guarantee a smooth and efficient workflow.

• Design and develop stress testing infrastructure from the ground up. Conduct stress tests, analyze the results, and provide regression signals back to engineering partners.

• Build and sustain a comprehensive testing infrastructure to validate the performance and compatibility of TimescaleDB in cloud environments.

• Assume responsibility for benchmarking frameworks (including tsbench), enhancing their capabilities with advanced features (e.g., explain plans), and ensuring accurate and sophisticated measurements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Release Engineer, QA Lead, or in a similar position with full ownership of the release process.

• Profound knowledge of modern CI/CD practices and tools, particularly GitHub Actions.

• Strong proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and infrastructure development.

• Practical experience running PostgreSQL in production settings.

• Nice to Have:

• Previous experience with TimescaleDB.

• Basic understanding of Kubernetes.
