This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the development and implementation of thorough test plans and strategies that align with project objectives.
• Evaluate and estimate the time, resources, and effort required for testing.
• Employ an automation-first mindset to enhance coverage and efficiency.
• Design and develop reproducible complex cross-functional test cases.
• Oversee end-to-end testing for intricate projects.
• Direct manual and automated testing efforts for various small features.
• Generate test cases, document test results, and compile detailed bug reports.
• Ensure accurate testing documentation is maintained and best practices are upheld.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders regarding requirements and quality benchmarks.
• Facilitate and provide guidance for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Drive process enhancement initiatives and uphold quality assurance practices.
• Investigate, assess, recommend, and integrate new testing tools and methodologies.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level test engineers.
• Address testing obstacles and lead solutions in coordination with relevant teams.
• Review and refine test strategies and test cases.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret testing metrics.
• Develop and implement test engineering strategies, policies, and standards.
• Collaborate with the Software Engineering in Test (SET) team to prioritize automation efforts and enhance automation coverage.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Over 5 years of industry experience, working independently on small to medium projects and mentoring junior testing engineers.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in both manual and automation testing.
• At least 5 years of experience with Java or Python.
• Familiarity with testing APIs and web/mobile applications.
• Proficient in managing complex troubleshooting and problem resolution across multiple systems.
• Capability to analyze intricate product requirements and independently establish the testing strategy.
• Proficient in writing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
• Strong experience in API testing, utilizing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to evolving requirements, code designs, technologies, methods, priorities, work styles, and responsibilities.
• Proficient in managing large, complex testing projects with multiple dependencies while meeting deadlines.
• Solid understanding of domain-specific knowledge and business requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of various testing types, intricate test scenarios, and automation techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Extensive experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
