Senior Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement risk-based test coverage to achieve sprint objectives as part of a collaborative remote team.

• Assess the functionality of front-end web applications, back-end data, and reporting/ETL data.

• Engage in a SAFe scrum team throughout the entire software implementation lifecycle.

• Ensure system solutions align with customer business requirements.

• Examine, document, and convey system and business processes related to testing.

• Offer technical assistance to customers during UAT testing.

• Contribute to and execute testing plans.

• Support the design, creation, automation, and execution of test cases and scenarios.

• Conduct functional, non-functional, regression, system, and performance testing.

• Log actual results and compare them with expected outcomes.

• Document and carry out root cause analysis for defects and issues.

• Collaborate with both government and non-government stakeholders at various authority levels.

• Generate evaluated test and defect reports and take part in software walkthroughs.

• Acquire knowledge of the UCM application to aid in requirements analysis, precise estimations, and risk-mitigating test coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Over 5 years of pertinent manual and automated Software Quality Assurance experience.

• Background in testing systems with intricate data and/or workflow structures.

• Capability to write and modify PostgreSQL or SQL scripts for testing purposes.

• Familiarity with CodeCept or comparable JavaScript or Playwright automation tools and frameworks.

• Experience using AI tools like Copilot or Claude.

• Must be eligible to obtain Public Trust clearance.

• Must have resided in the United States for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.

• Availability during core hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm EST.

• Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as JIRA and/or TestRail.

• Experience in functional testing for an IT system or database.

• Knowledge of Agile or SAFe methodologies.

• Experience with test automation.

• Prior experience with CMS or medical data systems or tools.

• Familiarity with large, complex data sources using PostgreSQL or SQL, including data migration and/or maintenance tasks.

• Experience with testing in both on-premise and AWS cloud environments.

• Understanding of web scripting languages.

• Experience in testing ETL, reporting, and/or APIs.

• Knowledge of testing for Section 508 Compliance using JAWS or similar tools.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Ability to comprehend and execute customer business requirements.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to manage customer expectations and software implementation methodologies.

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.

• Capacity to work independently.

• Agile certification in SAFe Practitioner, SAFe Agilist, CSM, or another relevant agile certification.
