This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee comprehensive test planning for software releases that involve multiple backend and platform services teams.
• Establish the test scope, strategy, and timelines at the release level.
• Ensure alignment on dependencies, priorities, environments, and release milestones.
• Proactively identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Address release blockers and quality issues with stakeholders promptly.
• Lead effective verification strategies through both manual and automated testing efforts, including API and integration testing for backend platform services.
• Advocate for initiatives aimed at minimizing manual testing efforts and enhancing efficiency.
• Organize and report on testing activities utilizing tools such as Jira and Jama.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate results and synchronize efforts.
• Contribute to processes that facilitate the medical device development lifecycle.
• Ensure that testing activities and documentation align with processes that support the medical device software development lifecycle and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Over 10 years of experience in test automation and software testing.
• Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, TestNG).
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, particularly Java or C#.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Proven track record of leading testing initiatives for large-scale software releases or cross-functional development programs.
• Demonstrated capability to coordinate testing activities across various teams, manage conflicting priorities, and ensure execution aligns with release timelines.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the capacity to effectively communicate quality status, risks, and priorities.
• Strong commitment to building scalable quality processes, enhancing team effectiveness, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to create and maintain documentation that is accurate and compliant.
• Experience in the medical device industry is advantageous.
