This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Drive profitable premium volume growth within the Connecticut territory.
• Identify and implement strategic sales opportunities in the designated area.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with independent agents, brokers, and distribution partners.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to execute and optimize territory sales strategies.
• Devise strategies aimed at attracting new business while retaining existing agency relationships.
• Set territory priorities and sales plans based on market opportunities and business goals.
• Pinpoint chances to boost market penetration, agency engagement, and product utilization.
• Deliver product training to agents, brokers, and distribution partners.
• Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions.
• Provide continuous coaching and mentorship to enhance partner engagement and sales performance.
• Communicate product enhancements, underwriting updates, sales initiatives, and market developments to agency partners.
• Build and sustain relationships with agents, brokers, and market stakeholders across Connecticut.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, agency needs, and market conditions.
• Collect field feedback to refine products, sales strategies, and the overall agency experience.
• Offer market intelligence and strategic insights to the Regional Sales Manager and internal business partners.
• Act as a liaison between field teams and internal teams.
• Maintain underwriting profitability by ensuring sales adhere to company guidelines and risk assessment protocols.
• Ensure sales and marketing activities comply with state regulations and company policies.
• Track and analyze sales data and performance metrics, providing regular reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
• A Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, business, insurance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent P&C insurance experience.
• Over 8 years of relevant experience in the property & casualty insurance industry, ideally with a carrier.
• At least 5 years of experience in territory sales, agency development, business development, or a related agent/broker-facing position.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and sales strategies.
• Established familiarity with the Connecticut P&C market and relationships within the independent agency/broker community is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Capable of managing administrative tasks, including creating agendas, meeting notes, and marketing communications.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Must reside in Connecticut, ideally within or near the Connecticut shoreline.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
