This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.
• Take ownership of a specific state or group of states to enhance both the volume and quality of business submitted by independent agencies.
• Achieve production goals for bound premium and policy count.
• Develop, categorize, and oversee target agency lists.
• Design and refine territory plans.
• Maintain an overview of appointed agencies, quoting trends, and bound premium in the pipeline.
• Conduct in-person agency visits, lunch-and-learns, and local events.
• Secure production commitments from priority agencies.
• Articulate Branch’s value proposition, market appetite, and distinguishing features.
• Educate agencies regarding Branch’s ideal risk profile.
• Train agency stakeholders on the use of Branch’s quoting platform prior to comparative raters.
• Activate, retain, and re-engage producing agencies.
• Address objections from agencies and shoppers.
• Transform field intelligence into strategic insights for the IA strategy.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Underwriting, and Operations to overcome production challenges at the territory level.
• Report directly to the Director of Territory Management.
• 5+ years in a field sales role with quota or target responsibilities, managing a defined geography or book of business.
• Preferred experience includes independent agency distribution, territory/field sales, SaaS sales, or similar business development roles.
• Proven accountability for achieving specific production targets.
• Experience in influencing independent professionals without relying on positional authority.
• Existing connections with independent agencies in the assigned state(s) are advantageous.
• Experience managing a self-directed field schedule with significant travel.
• Strong skills in in-person presentations and group training.
• Consultative selling skills.
• Ability to learn and effectively teach a technical, regulated product.
• P&C insurance experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to grasp underwriting appetite, rating, and agency workflow within the first quarter.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Willingness to meet a 50–70% travel requirement within the territory.
