
Senior Territory Manager, Independent Agency Channel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.
• Take responsibility for a designated state or group of states, enhancing both the volume and quality of business submitted by independent agencies.
• Meet and surpass production targets for bound premium and policy count.
• Create, categorize, and oversee a target agency list.
• Formulate and refine territory plans.
• Maintain visibility into the pipeline of appointed agencies, quoting trends, and bound premium by agency.
• Conduct in-person visits to agencies, host lunch-and-learns, and participate in local events.
• Secure production commitments from prioritized agencies.
• Effectively communicate Branch’s value proposition, appetite, and unique differentiators.
• Educate agencies on Branch’s preferred risk profile.
• Train agency stakeholders to utilize Branch’s quoting platform prior to engaging with comparative raters.
• Activate, retain, and re-engage active agencies.
• Address objections raised by agencies and shoppers.
• Report on competitive intelligence, pricing challenges, and product gaps to Branch.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Underwriting, and Operations to address territory-level challenges.
• Report directly to the Director of Territory Management.
• A minimum of 5 years in a quota- or target-driven field sales position managing a specific geography or book of business.
• Experience in independent agency distribution, territory/field sales, SaaS sales, or similar business development roles is preferred.
• Proven track record of accountability to a designated production number.
• Experience in influencing independent professionals without direct authority.
• Existing relationships with independent agencies within the assigned state(s) is beneficial.
• Comfort and experience with a high-travel, self-directed field schedule.
• Strong skills in in-person presentations and group training.
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport with agency principals and producers.
• Proficient in consultative selling techniques.
• Capability to learn and instruct others on a technical, regulated product.
• Experience in P&C insurance is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to master underwriting appetite, rating, and agency workflow within the first quarter.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Willingness to meet a travel requirement of 50–70% within the territory.
