This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Market and sell activated carbon, along with associated equipment and services.
• Develop and sustain existing business relationships within assigned geographical and/or industry-specific areas.
• Oversee sales in municipal and/or industrial sectors, including environmental, chemical, food, drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, and process applications.
• Engage and influence key decision-makers in procurement, operations, management, consulting engineering, and general contracting.
• Prepare and document sales proposals and communications with customers.
• Utilize GCRM to log and distribute customer and market data, bid outcomes, competitive pricing, and pertinent activities.
• Regularly update sales forecasts.
• Keep management informed about territory activities, challenges, and opportunities.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable as necessary.
• Broaden the business portfolio through strategic growth initiatives and valuable relationships.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities through proactive outreach and market intelligence.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of client needs and industry trends.
• Forge relationships with stakeholders in consulting engineering firms, utilities, and manufacturing companies.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental awareness along with company policies.
• Attend industry-specific conferences and organizational events.
• Contribute to the development of marketing materials.
• Organize and participate in webinars, seminars, and Lunch and Learn sessions.
• Meet annual sales, profit, and other objectives set for the territory.
• Conduct outbound sales calls and follow-up communications throughout the sales cycle.
• Organize or deliver technical presentations.
• Implement market strategies to compete effectively.
• Carry out activities aligned with marketing plans and sales strategies.
• Engage in training activities.
• Support special projects or initiatives as required.
• A Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from a four-year college or university is mandatory.
• An MBA is desirable.
• 7-10 years of experience in Technical Sales is essential.
• Background in chemical manufacturing or industrial sales is preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time by air, automobile, and for overnight stays.
• Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday, generally from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
