This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +4 more states.
• Create site-specific Arcturus integration concepts based on fundamental thermodynamics principles.
• Analyze customer P&IDs to pinpoint tie-in locations, assess process impacts, and identify risks.
• Develop PFDs along with heat and mass balances for initial feasibility and sanity evaluations.
• Take ownership of the complete techno-economic assessment for each opportunity, encompassing process integration, heat exchanger selection, heat pump placement, electrical infrastructure requirements, steam demand, waste heat modeling, and forecasting utility rates.
• Provide briefings to in-house engineering teams on the technical specifications of deals.
• Define and evaluate the plant data necessary at each phase of the project (FEL 0, 1, 2).
• Offer data-supported risk mitigation strategies to alleviate customer concerns.
• Perform site visits to industrial facilities.
• Set up metering equipment to gather data on heat sources, steam demand, and process metrics.
• Conduct interviews with plant personnel to gain insights into plant operations.
• Analyze new information in real-time and modify the techno-economic strategy as required.
• Establish trust with plant staff.
• Generate technical narratives, diagrams, presentations, graphs, and documentation for both technical and commercial audiences.
• Lead technical discussions, grasp customer requirements, manage objections, and guide towards appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to ensure project progress.
• Contribute to RFIs to guarantee that the final engineered design aligns with customer expectations.
• Over 5 years of engineering experience in energy, utilities, or process engineering within the industrial sector.
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for conducting technical and economic analyses.
• Background in collaborating with internal sales and project management teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven history of taking initiative and discovering solutions.
• Proficient in English.
• Authorization to work in your country of residence in Europe.
• Candidates must live within the European Union.
• Experience engaging with manufacturing clients, contractors, vendors, and design firms.
• Familiarity with industrial projects.
• Knowledge of European energy markets, policies, grants, and incentives.
• Additional proficiency in European languages is a plus.
