Senior Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product management, engineering, quality, and regulatory assurance to identify project scope for addressing unmet clinical needs and introducing new products.

• Lead project planning efforts, including work breakdown structures, estimation, resource allocation, scheduling, timelines, contingencies, risk management, and re-planning.

• Develop and uphold technical project release plans as part of the design control process.

• Manage the project plan from initiation through to post-implementation.

• Execute and launch projects by fostering cross-functional collaboration with CRM, Manufacturing, Marketing, Customer Support, and Clinical Operations teams.

• Serve as scrum master for sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Facilitate regular project meetings to monitor progress, timelines, project health, and potential risks.

• Lead technical discussions among engineering and cross-functional teams.

• Coordinate business readiness for product deployment and launch as a key team leader.

• Manage the project risk register and spearhead risk management discussions.

• Draft project documentation and provide assistance with system testing as needed.

• Collaborate with QA/RA to ensure adherence to company SOPs and international regulatory standards.

• Take ownership of project health and champion continuous process improvement alongside the technical project management team.

• Promote team best practices while managing ambiguity and competing objectives.

• Engage in production release and health monitoring activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is mandatory.

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in leading development projects.

• At least 8 years of engineering experience in a professional setting that requires extensive cross-functional collaboration.

• Demonstrated ability to influence others without formal authority and coordinate resources across a matrixed environment.

• Strong project management competencies, including budgeting, planning, tracking, organization, attention to detail, managing competing priorities, analytical and critical thinking skills, and foundational engineering principles.

• Solid technical capabilities, grounded in ethical practices and sound decision-making processes.

• Comprehensive understanding of highly technical product development teams and design transfer processes involving embedded systems.

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a knack for navigating conflicts constructively.

• Effective communication and presentation skills, especially in conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project and Visio.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

• Experience within the medical device sector is highly preferred.

• A Master’s degree, M.B.A., or P.M.P. certification will be advantageous.

• Familiarity with IEC standards 62304, 14971, and 62366 is beneficial.

• Experience with Jira, Aha!, project portfolio management, and JAMA is desired.

• Proficiency in AWS/Linux/Unix/Windows environments is expected.
