Engineering Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions that support the Service Centre of the Future.

• Oversee and execute large-scale capital engineering initiatives focused on automation, IoT, and continuous improvement strategies.

• Collaborate effectively with teams in Operations, Health & Safety, Finance, Quality, Global Automation, Regional Engineering, as well as with external suppliers or partners.

• Prepare comprehensive Capex documentation, which includes cost estimates, project justifications, equipment layouts, project specifics, and technical specifications.

• Manage the installation, commissioning, equipment development, and scheduling of tests at the Global Automation Technical Centre.

• Supervise contractors and partners, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and legislative regulations.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives utilizing AI, robotics, digital twin models, Industry 4.0, and other advanced technologies.

• Advance automation technologies from initial concept through proof-of-concept, pilot testing, and readiness for deployment.

• Ensure project delivery aligns with schedules, budgets, and adheres to technical, quality, and safety standards.

• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, risks, scope, schedules, and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.

• Create operational documentation, which includes as-built drawings, manuals, and lists of spare parts.

• Develop training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer and technology adoption.

• Advocate for Zero Harm, uphold environmental standards, and ensure regulatory compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in automation, manufacturing engineering, robotics, controls engineering, or technology development.

• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies, Industrial IoT, AI/ML applications, digital twins, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), or smart factory initiatives.

• Proven experience in leading complex engineering or automation projects from conception through to implementation.

• Background in evaluating, developing, and integrating emerging technologies within manufacturing or service operations environments.

• Knowledge of industrial automation systems, including robotics, machine vision, PLCs, motion control, and automated material handling technologies.

• Strong project management capabilities with a focus on managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of developing innovative solutions to intricate development challenges.

• Proficiency in Spanish, French, and/or German is preferred.

• A Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Automation, or a related technical field is advantageous.

• Design for Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
