This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define the program's scope and objectives, collaborate with key stakeholders, ensure technical feasibility, and oversee projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate staffing, priorities, and technical dependencies among Hosting and cross-functional teams, including Trust, Payments, Infra, and Product.
• Oversee quarterly planning and manage ongoing risk escalation and mitigation.
• Supervise the Technical Design diligence process for significant programs.
• Monitor technical dependencies, conduct schedule reviews and pre-reviews, engage stakeholders, and ensure meeting quality and efficiency.
• Relay key decisions, updates, and risks to leadership and across teams.
• Foster accountability and manage timelines effectively.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and new operational methods, emphasizing simplification and productivity.
• Lead organization-wide and company-wide technical initiatives as the technical stack evolves.
• Provide insights into key performance indicators, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Payments organization to enhance technology offerings for facilitating transactions across Airbnb’s global marketplace.
• Support the development and growth of a world-class team of Technical Program Managers.
• Proven experience in developing processes where few exist, demonstrating flexibility to accomplish tasks.
• Capability to navigate ambiguity toward detailed solutions and drive initiatives to completion.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a distributed architecture environment.
• Adaptability to work with teams operating on different cadences.
• Detail-oriented with strong technical problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Experience working in highly cross-functional environments.
• Quick learner with the ability to familiarize with new technologies rapidly.
• Exceptional written and oral business communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to influence stakeholders effectively.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar task management tools.
• BA/BS degree required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the software development sector.
• Must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
