Senior Technical Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each is well-defined, scheduled, and progressing.

• Collaborate with leads from engineering, product, and marketing to define, plan, and monitor initiatives.

• Manage the detailed execution of epics and sprints using Jira, while maintaining actionable boards.

• Develop and oversee dashboards, timelines, and communications with stakeholders.

• Facilitate quarterly and sprint-based planning cycles, as well as retrospectives.

• Address blockers, troubleshoot operational challenges, and ensure smooth delivery across various functions.

• Create, maintain, and enhance documentation, team workspaces, and roadmaps.

• Steer technical discussions and serve as a thought partner to engineering and product leadership.

• Foster alignment among Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing, and Operations teams.

• Uphold high standards of documentation and operational excellence.

• Promote a positive team operating rhythm through status updates, asynchronous documentation, and productive meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a TPM role, closely collaborating with software engineering, product, and design teams.

• Experience in a startup or rapidly scaling company, or a proven history of managing multiple concurrent, short-cycle projects.

• Ability to seamlessly switch contexts across various projects and stakeholders within the same day without losing focus.

• A strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to action.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and ruthlessly prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.

• Extensive knowledge of agile methodologies and contemporary product development practices.

• Direct experience in managing and facilitating projects using Jira.

• Proven capability to delve deeply into technical architecture and workflows, discussing trade-offs with engineers.

• Proficient in data analytics tools to support informed decision-making.

• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and visual), with the ability to adapt your style for both executives and engineers.

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities; adept at anticipating risks and proactively correcting course.

• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional programs across Product, Design, Marketing, Operations, and Engineering.
