Senior Technical Product Owner – Agile, SDLC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the product lifecycle from initiation to completion for a distributed engineering team.

• Serve as the primary contact for clients and business stakeholders.

• Lead a development team that operates across various time zones and locations.

• Convert product vision into incremental, clearly defined deliverables.

• Evaluate product use cases and requirements throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Shape discussions regarding architecture, development, testing, and deployment from both business and client perspectives.

• Oversee product backlog management, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Create and maintain roadmaps while managing backlogs effectively.

• Generate clear reports customized for different audiences.

• Travel to the UK and USA as necessary, with expectations ranging from 0% to 15% based on project requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of enterprise experience in supporting Agile development teams (Scrum/Kanban).

• A background in software engineering, with a comfort level in discussing architecture, development, testing, and deployment.

• Capability to assess product use cases and requirements throughout all SDLC phases.

• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams.

• Strong management skills, including conflict resolution, multi-reporting, roadmap planning, and backlog management.

• Hands-on experience in product backlog ownership, story writing, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Experience working on international projects and managing remote teams across different locations.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to create clear reports for diverse audiences.

• Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 (Upper Intermediate) level, both spoken and written.

• Currently based in Portugal.
