Senior Technical Product Manager – Portfolio

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee delivery planning for HealthCentral, DROPS, and Medfluencers, ensuring a unified view of priorities, initiatives, milestones, dependencies, and delivery status.

• Supervise sprint planning and execution across product and engineering teams.

• Convert roadmap priorities into actionable development plans in collaboration with Product and Engineering leadership.

• Recognize cross-product dependencies and potential conflicts in resource allocation.

• Determine the sequence of activities when multiple products vie for shared engineering resources.

• Maintain transparency regarding developer capacity, hours worked, allocation, and utilization rates.

• Take ownership of capacity planning and identify instances where demand surpasses available development resources.

• Monitor planned versus actual efforts and highlight significant variances.

• Track engineering resource deployment across various activities including new product development, feature upgrades, platform and infrastructure projects, technical debt management, bug fixes, QA, data analytics initiatives, client obligations, maintenance, and unforeseen tasks.

• Maintain delivery dashboards at the portfolio level that reflect progress, capacity, milestones, risks, blockers, and resource allocation.

• Establish uniform sprint and project management practices across teams.

• Ensure Jira or equivalent systems are maintained for accurate estimation, assignment, prioritization, and tracking of work.

• Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, milestone assessments, and other delivery ceremonies.

• Coordinate with internal developers, contractors, agencies, and external technology partners.

• Collaborate with technical leads to verify engineering estimates and delivery assumptions.

• Work alongside Product Managers to ensure that requirements and acceptance criteria are clearly defined prior to the commencement of development.

• Highlight delivery risks, blockers, and resource limitations to the CPO and senior leadership.

• Assist in quarterly roadmap and resource planning activities across the product portfolio.

• Create scenarios that illustrate the repercussions of shifting priorities, introducing new initiatives, or reallocating development resources.

• Contribute to the establishment of a more predictable product-development organization without unnecessary processes or bureaucracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical product management, technical program management, project management, software delivery, or a related field.

• Proven experience managing multiple software products or workstreams concurrently.

• Direct experience collaborating with engineers, engineering managers, architects, and technical vendors.

• Experience in developing portfolio-level dashboards and reports for senior leadership.

• Strong grasp of modern software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, sprint planning, estimation, QA, technical dependencies, and release management.

• Significant experience in resource management, capacity planning, effort estimation, and utilization tracking.

• Ability to comprehend technical discussions involving APIs, integrations, data platforms, mobile/web applications, infrastructure, and technical debt.

• Advanced proficiency with Jira or similar delivery management platforms.

• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to identify when timelines or commitments do not align with available resources and articulate the trade-offs clearly.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable navigating across multiple businesses, teams, and priorities simultaneously.
