Senior Technical Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the product data acquisition strategy and the roadmap for data processing, while supporting the concurrent development of a new system to succeed the current one.

• Establish foundational measurements across our data funnel — including coverage, pipeline health, and data quality — ensuring that future architectural and business decisions are informed by value and cost.

• Lead the architectural design that promotes efficiency — a durable and observable single-record architecture.

• Enhance data usability beyond mere availability — striving for a dynamic system that evolves based on market trends and genuine consumer demand.

• Cater to internal customers, ensuring that downstream teams have a single reliable source to work from.

• Develop Going's long-term data acquisition strategy — one that is diversified, cost-efficient, and resilient against disruptions from any single vendor.

• Transform our data caching and curation layer into a flexible foundation capable of onboarding any future data source.

• Position the data platform as the compounding advantage for Going's product — the essential element that every team builds upon rather than a shared dependency that people work around.

⛳️ Requirements

• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to work during US hours.

• 5–8+ years of experience in product management, with considerable time dedicated to owning data platforms, data infrastructure, or data products.

• Systems & Data Fluency: Proficient in reading API specifications, writing SQL, navigating complex JSON/XML schemas, and discussing architecture (ETL/ELT pipelines, caching strategies, data lineage and provenance, metadata management) with senior engineers as equals.

• Familiarity with data quality, normalization, or golden dataset patterns.

• Experience in establishing measurement baselines prior to re-architecting or setting targets — you assess before you construct.

• Comfortable managing vendor/supplier relationships and contract negotiations, including evaluating cost versus coverage tradeoffs.

• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering durable, well-governed systems.

• Clear, asynchronous communicator — adept at guiding a dedicated engineering team while collaborating across both technical and non-technical partners.
