Senior Technical Marketing Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead practical customer Proof of Value initiatives, architectural showcases, and pilot assessments

• Design, implement, and sustain both physical and virtual networking laboratories that emulate intricate enterprise branch, edge, and retail architectures

• Evaluate product functionality, interoperability, and real-world scalability

• Diagnose, replicate, and address L2/L3 networking escalations, segmentation issues, and packet-level discrepancies

• Act as the technical escalation liaison between field teams and core engineering

• Produce deployment runbooks, reference architectures, white papers, competitive testing plans, and solution briefs

• Develop and present technical training sessions, interactive workshops, and webinars for Systems Engineers, professional services, and channel partner architects

• Facilitate the swift closure of enterprise deals, promote deployment autonomy, and enhance customer adoption of Zero Trust Branch solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in technical marketing, solutions architecture, or advanced systems engineering

• Extensive knowledge in enterprise routing, switching, TCP/IP, L2/L3 network segmentation, and tunneling protocols such as WireGuard, IPsec, and VxLAN

• Demonstrated success in leading and achieving hands-on customer Proof of Value pilots and executive architectural assessments

• Expertise in constructing and maintaining multi-vendor physical and virtual network lab environments

• Familiarity with bare-metal appliances, ESXi, KVM, EVE-NG, and GNS3

• Advanced skills in packet analysis and troubleshooting utilizing Wireshark, tcpdump, and traffic generation tools

• Experience in identifying routing anomalies, latency/jitter issues, MTU challenges, and NAT/firewall traversal

• Proven ability in creating production-grade technical documentation and delivering technical enablement workshops

• A demonstrated interest in and exploration of AI tools, with a background in integrating new technologies into existing workflows

• Preferred: practical knowledge of Python, Bash, infrastructure-as-code, Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, public cloud networking, Docker, Kubernetes, networking/security certifications, or experience in retail/IoT/OT/cellular WAN/5G failover deployments
