This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and develop game modes, missions, quests, events, and AI systems.
• Collaborate with designers, level designers, programmers, and other teams to refine features and ensure they reach a shippable state.
• Manage content after its release.
• Support designers in reproducing and resolving bugs.
• Work with various departments to meet scripting requirements.
• Be prepared and available for problem-solving as needed.
• Foster a positive work atmosphere through cross-department collaboration and consistent team engagement.
• Guide Junior Technical Designers in scripting best practices and the Evolution Engine.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Over 5 years of experience in game design and development.
• A degree in computer science, game design/development, or equivalent practical experience in game development.
• Strong expertise in Lua or a similar scripting language.
• Basic understanding of C++ and familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with a commercial game engine such as Unity or Unreal is preferred.
• Experience with projects that involve live service production schedules is preferred.
• Experience with multiplayer or networked games is preferred.
