Interior Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review space plans in collaboration with the project team.

• Utilize DIRTT’s proprietary Design Editor systems to design client projects from the ground up or based on AutoCAD or Revit files.

• Collaborate with architects, design firms, and clients to understand, define, and finalize the DIRTT scope.

• Take the lead on pre-construction responsibilities during the initial stages of projects.

• Assist in developing pricing packages and renderings using the Design Editor.

• Assess site conditions and design around potential issues.

• Integrate Design Editor files into Revit/BIM360 for effective coordination.

• Review order files and deliverables prior to DIRTT entry.

• Provide technical and design expertise as a Subject Matter Expert.

• Familiarity with local building codes is essential.

• Work collaboratively with DIRTT departments to ensure the success of projects.

• Identify and propose solutions for client design and installation challenges.

• Complete revisions to Design Editor files and DIRTT shop drawings as necessary.

• Create visual renderings and 3D fly-throughs using the Design Editor.

• Act as the main point of contact for the Project Team, Factory, Field Representatives, and Technicians at DIRTT.

• Stay updated on DIRTT standards, finishes, and best practices for the Design Editor.

• Develop, maintain, and update design documentation consistently.

• Share project insights and knowledge with the DIRTT design team.

• Track and document billable hours by task and project.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience with DIRTT.

• A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture is required.

• Strong proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting architectural drawings and sketches.

• Prior experience and extensive knowledge of the Design Editor is essential.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software.

• Experience working on technical projects is necessary.

• Skilled in using Windows, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with excellent attention to detail.

• Strong sense of urgency, with effective time management skills and the ability to work independently.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Professional certifications such as NCIDQ, LEED, or EDAC are considered advantageous.

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
