Electrical Wiring Designer 2 – Nuclear Power

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate and lead a project team in the design, modification, and/or enhancement of both new and existing electrical systems in power plants.

• Create single-line diagrams, relay and metering diagrams, AC and DC schematic diagrams, synchronizing diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and grounding layouts.

• Generate electrical wiring drawings.

• Assess and integrate vendor drawings into the comprehensive project design.

• Work alongside multi-disciplined engineering and design teams under the guidance of the Electrical Project Lead.

• Participate in field walkdowns and assist in data collection at client facilities.

• Support engineers with the initial design specifications.

• Develop wiring diagrams and schematics for electricians and installers.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma paired with relevant technical design experience.

• A minimum of five years of comprehensive wiring design experience, specifically in creating single-line, relay, and metering diagrams for medium-voltage and 480V systems.

• Proficiency in reviewing electrical layout drawings that include electrical equipment outlines and interface points.

• Knowledge of digital control systems.

• Capability to produce wiring diagrams and schematics for electricians and installers.

• Ability to assist engineers with initial design specifications.

• Skill in conceptualizing plans and details to effectively communicate wiring termination requirements.

• Extensive experience with Microstation and/or AutoCAD design on power plants or large facility projects.

• A solid understanding of drafting and design principles and practices.

• Proficient in interfacing and communicating with engineering and design teams from other disciplines in the power plant design process.

• Eligible for unescorted access to a nuclear facility.

• No requirement for U.S. work authorization sponsorship.
