Senior Systems Engineer, ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee hardware systems, their associated operating systems, and connectivity capabilities.

• Monitor, assess, and strategize upgrades to guarantee sufficient capacity and availability.

• Provide technical guidance and support for computing systems and systems integration.

• Conduct performance and capacity analyses and present findings.

• Troubleshoot and coordinate solutions for issues across server and distributed-system environments, including collaboration with vendors and manufacturers.

• Address customer needs and manage issues until resolution.

• Assist application teams with project-related tasks and support activities.

• Foster effective communication with customers and team members to build strong working relationships.

• Plan and implement system-to-network connectivity and interfacing.

• Review technology initiatives, analyze business requirements, propose system modifications, write technical specifications, and execute changes.

• Develop project plans, define scopes, estimate efforts, create schedules, and finalize plans in collaboration with project managers.

• Develop and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for local area networks.

• Engage in technology planning activities.

• Integrate technical knowledge from vendors, manufacturers, and subject-matter experts.

• Mentor members of the immediate team and application teams.

• Contribute to the IS Knowledge Repository.

• Provide on-call support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the core discipline.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (preferred).

• At least 5 years of experience in the core discipline within the healthcare sector (preferred).

• Capability to provide necessary on-call support.

• Adherence to organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory and accreditation standards.

• Successful completion of a background check, including criminal history, if offered the position.
