Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design and implement real-time automation solutions ranging from the manufacturing floor to the enterprise level.

• Engineer and deploy real-time automation control systems and information solutions.

• Develop concepts during the project design stage.

• Program, troubleshoot, and validate systems.

• Produce project engineering notes, proposals, documentation for design traceability, case studies, and other relevant materials.

• Commission new solutions on client sites and pinpoint areas for improvement.

• Develop methodologies and address complex challenges.

• Acquire knowledge of new technologies.

• Provide mentorship to colleagues in areas of expertise.

• Engage with PLC/PAC programming, HMI and operator interface design, SCADA, networking, databases, and vision systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successful or imminent completion of a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering Technology degree.

• Academic or professional experience with some or all of the listed technologies.

• Detail-oriented, conscientious, analytical, focused, self-motivated individual who learns quickly.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Full-time access to a personal vehicle.

• Must reside in Central Virginia or Maryland.

• Willingness to travel up to 30–50% across VA, MD, PA, NJ, and DE.

• Associated with and reporting to Grantek’s office in Allentown, PA.

• Preferably have experience in the food and beverage or life sciences sectors.
