Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Design and execute real-time automation controls and information solutions.

• Develop concepts for solutions during the project design stage.

• Program, troubleshoot, and evaluate systems.

• Produce project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documents, case studies, and other essential documentation.

• Launch new solutions at client locations while identifying areas for improvement.

• Establish methodologies to address and resolve complex issues.

• Acquire knowledge of new technologies.

• Guide colleagues by sharing relevant expertise and insights.

• Collaborate with clients to address manufacturing and industrial information challenges.

• Create automation solutions that span from the manufacturing floor to the enterprise level.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successful or anticipated completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering Technology field.

• Academic or practical experience with some or all of the specified technologies.

• Proficiency in PLC/PAC programming, HMI, SCADA, networking, databases, and/or vision systems.

• Detail-oriented, diligent, analytical, focused, self-motivated, and a quick learner.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Full-time access to a personal vehicle.

• Candidates must reside in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, or Maryland.

• Willingness to travel up to 30–50% within PA, NJ, NY, DE, and MD.

• The employee will be associated with and report to Grantek’s Allentown, PA office.
