Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of SaaS delivery environments.

• Propel strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing reliability, scalability, and service quality.

• Address intricate support cases raised by partners and clients.

• Deliver outstanding customer service and help desk assistance.

• Manage incident response and daily monitoring activities.

• Ensure services and applications function effectively and comply with SLAs.

• Administer and oversee the Acumatica SaaS deployment lifecycle operations.

• Operate and sustain AWS environments.

• Assist, diagnose, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments.

• Utilize PowerShell to automate operational processes, troubleshooting, maintenance, and management tasks.

• Identify and implement creative solutions to enhance systems, processes, and technologies.

• Promote continuous improvement and elevate service delivery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Engage in a rotating weekend on-call schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with relational databases, ideally with MS SQL.

• Proficient in database design and optimization.

• At least 5+ years of experience managing websites, preferably using IIS.

• Familiarity with web application development and deployment.

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in basic scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python.

• At least 1+ year of experience with standard development practices, including Jenkins and Git.

• Minimum of 1+ year of experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, Docker, Helm, and Terraform/Ansible.

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

• Excellent customer service skills with experience in managing technical escalations.

• Outstanding troubleshooting skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure, just-in-time environment.

• Experience with Accounting, ERP, or similar business management software is advantageous.

• Proven experience in supporting production environments and resolving complex application and infrastructure issues.

• Willingness to participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule.
