Senior Systems Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee and provide support for enterprise infrastructure utilizing AWS, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, and associated technologies.

• Create, implement, and sustain secure, highly available cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions.

• Foster automation and improve operational efficiencies through contemporary IT methodologies.

• Manage infrastructure projects from the initial planning and design stages to deployment, documentation, and ongoing support.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and end users to deliver technological solutions and outstanding customer service.

• Uphold cybersecurity best practices, which include identity management, patch management, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

• Assess and integrate emerging technologies, such as AI solutions, to improve business processes and IT services.

• Act as a technical escalation point for issues related to infrastructure and cloud services.

• Keep technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures updated.

• Work together with vendors and cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives.

• Track system health, performance, and availability while promoting continuous improvement.

• Engage in on-call support and incident response activities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline; relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in systems administration, cloud infrastructure, or comparable IT roles.

• Extensive experience in administering and supporting AWS or Microsoft Azure.

• Proficiency with Windows Server.

• Knowledge of Active Directory.

• Familiarity with general automation practices.

• Experience in implementing and supporting enterprise AI technologies and AI-driven solutions.

• Background in infrastructure design, deployment, and support.

• Capability to lead large, cross-functional technology projects from inception to completion while achieving business objectives and deadlines.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective with both technical and non-technical end users.

• Experience in developing technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, system hardening, identity management, backup and recovery, and business continuity planning.

• Experience in technical project leadership.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management.

• Exposure to enterprise AI technologies.

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or other recognized cloud and infrastructure certifications.
