Senior System Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain sophisticated application solutions for Health IT systems in accordance with DoD standards and frameworks.

• Lead and engage in the complete software development lifecycle utilizing Agile methodologies as per DoDI 5000.02.

• Offer technical guidance for business processes, automation strategies, and application integration initiatives.

• Implement and support enterprise content management systems, specifically OpenText Content Suite, AppWorks, and Archive Center.

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to assess requirements and convert them into scalable, maintainable solutions.

• Ensure system integrity, quality assurance, security compliance, and interoperability with other defense health applications.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate system issues while recommending enhancements to improve performance and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent relevant experience.

• At least 10 years of technical experience in Health IT systems and software development.

• Proven experience with Department of Defense systems development following the DoDI 5000.02 Agile acquisition lifecycle.

• Strong technical proficiency in application development and business process automation.

• Comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts and techniques for addressing engineering, scientific, or data management challenges through automation.

• Practical experience with large-scale ECM implementations, ideally with OpenText Content Suite, AppWorks, and Archive Center.

• Background in secure, highly regulated environments such as FedRAMP or DoD RMF.

• Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and enterprise integration patterns.

• Experience in developing custom workflows and forms within ECM platforms.

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, information assurance, and data governance.

• Eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

• Certifications related to ECM platforms, Agile methodologies, or DoD IT systems are preferred, including OpenText certifications, PMP, SAFe, or Security+.
