Senior Supplier Manufacturing Engineer, Core Tech Mechanical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage mechanical fabrication commodities/subcategories to implement supplier production strategies from New Product Introduction (NPI) to full-scale production.

• Collaborate with internal engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams, as well as suppliers.

• Assess supplier production capabilities, factory layouts, facilities, and workforce for inclusion on the Approved Supplier List.

• Assist Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring supplier compliance with part-quality specifications.

• Initiate new production tooling, lines, and the development of supplier sites to fulfill performance, quality, and demand objectives.

• Oversee supplier capacity expansion readiness and the ramp-up of production.

• Establish and lead Statistical Process Control (SPC) reviews and process controls at supplier locations.

• Identify and implement product and process enhancements, optimize factory layouts, reduce costs, mitigate risks, eliminate defects, and improve cycle times.

• Support root-cause analysis task forces and ensure the completion of corrective and preventive actions at suppliers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• More than 6 years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing setting.

• Proficient in mechanical fabrication manufacturing, IPC standards, CAD, and GD&T.

• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

• Prior experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high-tech, or a similar industry.

• Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and certifications.

• Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume setting.

• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
