Senior Product Definition Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize established engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices concerning product definition, GD&T, technical drawings, MBD, and PMI.

• Apply ASME, ISO, and DIN standards for tolerancing, GD&T, MBD, and PMI within project outputs.

• Promote digital tools and best practices throughout the product lifecycle to reduce design errors prior to physical production.

• Transform raw point cloud data or .stl mesh files into precise, manufacturable 3D models within Siemens NX employing scan-to-CAD techniques.

• Create and manage engineering documentation packages, which include 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, specifications, requirement matrices, and CTQ parameters.

• Collaborate with engineering on initial 2D product designs.

• Develop 3D product models, outlines, and layouts.

• Generate dimensioned detail component drawings for complex high-precision parts.

• Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis to verify fit, alignment, and performance of intricate assemblies.

• Assist with product design reviews and coordinate activities with project, engineering, and manufacturing teams.

• Organize, manage, and export-classify created design data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any STEM field OR at least eight (8) years of verifiable professional experience in a scientific, engineering, or technology discipline.

• Understanding of industry best practices (ASME, ISO) related to engineering drawings, PMI execution, and CTQ analysis.

• Proficient user of Siemens NX/Teamcenter environments.

• Capability to interpret technical drawings and design intent notes.

• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in drafting and documentation.

• Ability to adhere to deadlines, excel under pressure, maintain composure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal abilities and collaborative teamwork skills.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and assembly techniques pertinent to aerospace applications is advantageous.
