This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the industrialization of electronics suppliers for Electromagnetic Warfare products, managing the process from initial PCBA builds through to production ramp-up.
• Take ownership of electrical commodities and subcategories, which include PCB/PCBA, cables and wire harnesses, connectors and interconnects, as well as passive and active components, alongside RF/microwave components.
• Implement supplier production strategies, guiding new product introductions all the way to full-scale production.
• Assess supplier production capabilities, including factory layouts, facilities, and workforce adequacy for the Approved Supplier List.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to pinpoint DFM, DFT, and DFA risks prior to design finalization.
• Manage the development of manufacturing processes at supplier locations and initiate new production lines and tooling, covering SMT configuration, reflow profiles, AOI/SPI/X-ray, and test-cell setups.
• Oversee readiness for capacity expansion, conduct rough-cut capacity planning, and perform takt-time studies.
• Create and develop process flows, PFMEA, Control Plans, GR&R, and yield-target deliverables for EW electronics assemblies.
• Establish and enhance supplier performance through SPC reviews of critical CTQ parameters.
• Propel product and process enhancements, optimize factory layouts, and lead Value Engineering initiatives.
• Assist PSE, GSS, and SQE teams with supplier quality criteria and lead corrective/preventive action task forces.
• Work in partnership with engineering, quality, supply chain, manufacturing departments, and suppliers to meet production objectives.
• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, supply chain management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Extensive PCBA knowledge, including SMT processing, wave/selective soldering, reflow profiling, component placement, and AOI/SPI/X-ray inspection.
• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-6012/6013.
• Strong comprehension of DFM, DFT, and DFA principles.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Preference for onsite presence at an Anduril office, although the position allows for remote work.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Prior experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high-tech, or related electronics manufacturing sectors.
• Experience with RF/microwave assemblies and high-reliability electronics.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and certifications including AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Acquainted with high-mix, low-volume product development.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification or proven expertise in continuous improvement methodologies.
