This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct assessments of solar resources utilizing both satellite and ground-based data.
• Analyze production, performance, and climatic data from solar energy projects.
• Perform modeling, design reviews, and technical optimizations for solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects.
• Execute long-term assessments of solar PV energy production using PVsyst and Excel-based tools for post-processing.
• Assist in evaluations of utility-scale, residential, commercial, and industrial solar projects.
• Forecast energy production outcomes.
• Carry out uncertainty analyses, including P90, P95, and P99 probabilities of exceedance.
• Conduct statistical uncertainty analyses and clipping-adjusted degradation assessments.
• Engage in improving the energy yield assessment process and validating procedures.
• Collaborate on technical due diligence reports, effectively communicating findings to clients, developers, financiers, and key stakeholders.
• Integrate PV modeling assumptions and inputs into simulations.
• Address technical inquiries from clients related to solar resources and energy yield.
• Provide support for independent engineering and technical due diligence necessary for project financing or asset acquisition.
• Assess selections of solar equipment and technologies.
• Review project execution plans from EPC contractors.
• Evaluate PPA, EPC, and O&M agreements.
• Analyze CAPEX, OPEX, and performance parameters within financial models.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as reports, studies, and calculations.
• Collaborate with team members to outline project execution plans.
• Manage multiple projects while upholding high quality standards.
• Interact with clients to clarify requests and ensure successful project execution.
• Draft proposals for new business development opportunities.
• Occasionally travel to project sites and client offices.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, materials science, or a closely related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in the energy sector.
• In-depth understanding of solar resource assessment and energy yield prediction methodologies.
• Experience in designing utility-scale solar projects, renewable energy consulting, due diligence services, uncertainty analyses, or similar fields.
• Proficient in data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of renewable energy project execution and financing.
• Experience with statistical modeling and data analytics.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in writing technical reports and proposals.
• Familiarity with the incorporation of AI technologies for process enhancement initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and mentor others.
• Skills in project planning and leadership.
