Senior Supplier Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the capabilities of potential suppliers, focusing on their quality history, certifications, technical expertise, and adherence to regulations.

• Work alongside Procurement, R&D, and Production teams to define technical specifications, quality benchmarks, and performance criteria.

• Perform regular on-site audits of serial production processes.

• Analyze manufacturing workflows and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Spearhead improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with suppliers to address significant quality issues.

• Determine root causes and verify corrective measures to avert future occurrences.

• Implement, train, and assist suppliers with Distech Controls’ quality management system and plant quality principles.

• Partner with Production, R&D, Product Management, Customer Care, Continuous Improvement, and Operations teams, as well as with international suppliers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics) or equivalent professional experience.

• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in a comparable role within the manufacturing or industrial sector.

• Proficiency in FMEA, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem-solving techniques.

• Strong leadership abilities, a systematic approach, outstanding cross-functional communication skills, and flexibility in dynamic environments.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across North America, Europe, and Asia.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Full professional fluency in both spoken and written French and English.

• Lean Six Sigma certification, internal or external auditor certification, and training in quality assurance management are significant advantages.
