Claims Leave & Disability Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Supervise the administration and management of disability and leave claims.

• Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and ERISA.

• Lead and direct a team of claims professionals.

• Provide guidance, support, and development planning for team members.

• Assess complex claims and situations to make informed decisions.

• Deliver outstanding customer service to claimants.

• Formulate, implement, and adopt claims policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with global partners and internal stakeholders, including HR, legal, and operational teams.

• Monitor and report on claims-management KPIs.

• Facilitate audits and reviews of claims processes.

• Identify improvements in technology and processes.

• Manage resources effectively to meet demand and capacity needs.

• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes.

• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma.

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in disability claims management.

• Comprehensive knowledge of leave-related laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, PFML, Paid Sick Leave, PWFA, and pregnancy-related leaves.

• Strong background in disability management and industry best practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to influence key decision-makers to drive process improvements and change management.

• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional certifications such as CDMP, CCP, or similar qualifications are highly preferred.
