This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate within a project team alongside other engineers and designers on the detailed electrical design and project management of high voltage substation initiatives.
• Actively participate in project conceptualization, work planning, and execution.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve a diverse range of electrical engineering challenges.
• Prepare clear and concise reports that convey technical and project information in accordance with client requirements and S&L standards.
• Enhance professional skills through peer learning and knowledge sharing via S&L systems of process and Communities of Practice.
• Travel to client locations as necessary.
• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree is required for this position.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage several projects while adhering to budget and time constraints.
• Experience in tracking project details such as schedules and expenditures against budgets, along with preparing status reports and engaging with clients.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential.
• Experience in reviewing design drawings produced by others is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications is necessary.

• A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• A degree from an ABET accredited engineering program is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in the design of substations rated 138kV and above.
• Ability to perform substation grounding calculations, direct stroke shielding calculations, and battery & charger sizing calculations, among others.
• Experience in physical layout and protection & controls.
• Capability to collaborate with Designers to create substation single line diagrams, relaying & metering diagrams, DC schematic diagrams, substation plans & sections, and grounding plans.
• Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards related to substation design, including the National Electrical Safety Code (ANSI – C2).
• Possession of a PE license is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD is necessary.
