This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Solicit, negotiate, draft, and award cost-reimbursement, time-and-material, and firm-fixed-price subcontracts.
• Manage and monitor subcontractor performance throughout the duration of the subcontract.
• Identify applicable contract clauses for solicitations and subcontract documentation.
• Assist in the development of statements of work, subcontractor performance requirements, and special terms.
• Evaluate bids and proposals for adherence to specifications, terms, conditions, statements of work, and relevant flowdowns.
• Conduct price analyses, cost analyses, fact-finding, and audits of subcontractor proposals.
• Prepare subcontract close-out packages.
• Organize, maintain, and prepare correspondence and subcontract documentation.
• Provide support to the Contracts Department with contributions for company proposals.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external subcontract stakeholders.
• Assist in the upkeep of procurement procedures.
• Review and negotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts.
• Support both internal and external audits.
• Offer subcontract insights and leadership during program meetings.
• Anticipate and resolve issues while ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
• Operate with significant autonomy and require minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a technical or related field.
• Over 6 years of relevant experience in purchasing, contracts, or legal roles.
• Equivalent related experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• An advanced degree in a related area is preferred.
• ASCM or a contracts certification is required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of FAR/DFARS concepts and requirements.
• Experience with certified cost or pricing data and performing cost analysis is preferred.
• Must fulfill security clearance eligibility criteria.
• Travel requirement: 0%.
