This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Create precise and timely loan documentation for transactions secured by commercial real estate, which includes examining collateral and drafting security agreements.
• Assist Home Builder, Income Property, and Affordable Housing lending by managing the closing and administration of both construction and permanent loans.
• Evaluate appraisals and pre-construction assessments for new construction and development loans.
• Confirm the evidence of prepaid construction expenses prior to the closing process.
• Collect invoices, fees, and escrow settlement details to prepare funding statements and manage loan disbursements.
• Collaborate with title companies, escrow officers, and insurance agents to obtain and review title policies, balance settlement statements, and verify insurance coverage.
• Ensure complete and accurate maintenance of loan files, reporting, statements, and accounting records.
• Assist in establishing and upholding lien perfection on collateral.
• Provide support for loan extensions, modifications, and routine closing procedures.
• Offer guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
• Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, security protocols, and relevant government regulations.
• Collaborate with internal lending teams and external partners to facilitate successful loan funding and maintain the quality of the loan portfolio.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline (Required), or an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in closing or funding commercial real estate secured loans (Required).
• Familiarity with the commercial real estate loan closing procedures and documentation requirements (Required).
• Advanced understanding of commercial real estate loan closing processes, documentation, and associated systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to real estate loan closing and funding.
• General awareness of the mortgage and commercial real estate lending sector.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving, research, decision-making, and customer service abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, sound judgment, and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
