This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Lead and execute structural design and analysis for various hyperscale and colocation data center facilities.
• Create design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels, precast structures, steel framing systems, as well as deep and shallow foundations.
• Collaborate on design deliverables with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams.
• Supervise construction documents, specifications, and calculations to ensure quality, code compliance, and technical excellence.
• Mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers and designers.
• Interact with clients, contractors, and review authorities regarding technical inquiries and design clarifications.
• Assist in business development, proposal writing, and conceptual structural design for new initiatives.
• Occasionally travel for client meetings, site visits, project milestones, and onsite collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or a proven equivalency of experience and/or education.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in building structure design and analysis, or equivalent experience and/or education.
• Licensed U.S. Professional Engineer (PE or SE).
• Experience in data center, mission-critical, or large-scale logistics/industrial facilities.
• Proficiency with BIM ACC (Revit), ETABS, RISA, RAM, SAP2000, SAFE, and related software tools.
• Experience with precast concrete systems, steel design, seismic design, and foundation systems.
• Proven experience with low embodied carbon materials and sustainable structural design methods.
• Preferred: Over 3 years of experience with data center facilities and knowledge of data center design standards and structural resiliency requirements.
• Preferred: LEED, Envision, or active involvement in SE 2050 implementation.
• Expertise in low embodied carbon materials, sustainable structural systems, and emerging industry best practices.
• Capability to interpret and apply national and local building codes.
• Occasional travel for client meetings, site visits, and other project-related activities.
