This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +14 more states.
• Strategize, implement, and enhance digital content across NILC and IJF platforms.
• Create social media graphics, infographics, videos, and various digital design elements.
• Develop, edit, and manage websites, email campaigns, blogs, and social media profiles.
• Generate and publish daily digital content while maintaining content calendars.
• Recognize opportunities to elevate brand visibility and expand digital audiences.
• Implement inventive and culturally relevant tactics for social media and digital distribution.
• Foster relationships with partners and social media influencers.
• Design and execute both free and paid digital marketing campaigns.
• Oversee strategy and content for advocacy elements of supporter email lists.
• Aid in short- and long-term digital strategies and manage daily digital communications tasks.
• Collaborate on digital strategies that support programs, advocacy, public education, events, media, development, and marketing initiatives.
• Mentor Communications staff by providing editing, guidance, and support.
• Offer social media and digital coverage during off-hours, events, rallies, and other activities.
• Track trends and emerging practices, recommending new digital platforms.
• Set metrics, analyze performance, and report digital media outcomes to leadership.
• Supervise external consultants or vendors as necessary.
• Attend organizational, departmental, project, and individual meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• 7–10+ years of experience in digital communications and social media.
• 4+ years in developing and executing digital strategies.
• 2+ years of experience with email campaigns.
• Expertise in online organizing and digital best practices, including metrics and analytics.
• Knowledge of various CRM and CMS systems and digital applications.
• Familiarity with list and database management and its growth.
• Experience writing about social justice issues and utilizing digital/social assets in campaigns.
• Proficient in website management, including Drupal and WordPress, and leading website redesign projects.
• Political and/or policy experience is required.
• Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or another relevant field is preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit or social justice organizations is preferred.
• Background in online media production, particularly video and graphics, is preferred.
• Proficiency in non-English languages spoken by Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, African, Caribbean, and Arab communities is preferred.
• Fluency in more than one language is desirable.
• Must reside in one of the approved work locations.
• Fully remote work available within approved locations.
• Up to 10–20% overnight interstate travel, typically on a quarterly basis.
