Senior Strategic Advisor, Government Contracts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic advice on which government opportunities to pursue or forgo

• Provide insights on potential underestimations in government procurement processes

• Determine necessary capabilities prior to pursuing larger contracts

• Counsel on when to act as a prime contractor versus when to collaborate as a partner

• Clarify what factors lead an agency to take a new entrant seriously

• Identify errors that could lead to issues post-award

• Guide the development of government-contracting capabilities while avoiding excessive overhead

• Engage in regular strategic discussions

• Evaluate selected opportunities or decisions

• Facilitate introductions when appropriate

• Significant execution tasks such as capture support, proposal development, contract strategy, or partnership tasks may be defined separately as full-time roles or project-based contract opportunities

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in government-contracting execution, beyond just titles

• Ability to exercise judgment that questions assumptions instead of merely confirming them

• Capability to participate in periodic remote strategic discussions

• Willingness to consider full-time employment or project-based contract roles; primarily remote with travel required for partner and field work

• Familiarity with FAR or DFARS, IDIQ, BPA, GWAC, or GSA schedules (preferred)

• Experience in leadership roles related to capture, proposal, or post-award compliance (preferred)

• Background in professional services, research, analytics, workforce, infrastructure, or technology contracts (preferred)
