Senior Statistical Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Utilize SAS or alternative software to create custom programming code for summary tables, data listings, graphs, and derived datasets.

• Ensure that outputs adhere to quality standards and meet project specifications.

• Conduct validation programming and address discrepancies in collaboration with Programmers, Biostatisticians, and project team members.

• Maintain thorough and up-to-date project documentation, testing, and quality control materials to ensure readiness for inspection.

• Oversee scheduling and manage time constraints across multiple projects.

• Generate specifications for datasets and outputs based on statistical and sponsor requirements.

• Prepare for and facilitate internal meetings, disseminate information and minutes, and ensure action items are completed.

• Estimate and accomplish study programming tasks within designated timelines.

• Serve as the lead statistical programmer and oversee the programming activities of other team members.

• Review Statistical Analysis Plans, mock shells, programming specifications, annotated CRFs, and SAS database structures.

• Participate as the statistical programming representative in sponsor, kickoff, and bid defense meetings.

• Mentor programming staff through training, work reviews, feedback, and guidance.

• Transfer deliverables and carry out other assigned work-related tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in a scientific or statistical field; or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrable programming experience.

• Extensive programming expertise in SAS or other necessary software, ideally within a clinical trial context.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

• Capability to create custom programming code for clinical trial outputs.

• Familiarity with statistical analysis plans, programming specifications, annotated CRFs, and SAS database design.

• Understanding of relevant SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory guidelines, such as ICH.

• Ability to lead statistical programming efforts and supervise other programming personnel.

• Proficient in managing multiple projects, schedules, priorities, and timelines.

• Competence to engage in sponsor, kickoff, and bid defense meetings.

• Ability to mentor programming staff and provide constructive feedback.
