Senior Statistical Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create tailored programming code using SAS or alternative software to produce summary tables, data listings, graphs, and derived datasets in accordance with statistical analysis plans and programming specifications.

• Ensure that outputs conform to quality standards and project specifications.

• Conduct validation programming and address discrepancies in collaboration with Programmers, Biostatisticians, and project team members.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, testing, verification, and quality-control records to ensure inspection readiness.

• Develop specifications for datasets and outputs of varying complexity levels.

• Manage timelines and priorities across multiple projects while adjusting workload to accommodate changing schedules.

• Prepare for and facilitate internal meetings, disseminate information and minutes, and track action items through to completion.

• Negotiate time estimates and execute study programming tasks within the allocated timelines.

• Serve as the lead statistical programmer, oversee programming activities, and monitor deliverables.

• Review project documentation and provide constructive feedback to enhance programming efficiency.

• Participate in sponsor meetings, kickoff sessions, and bid defense meetings as the statistical programming representative.

• Mentor programming staff through training, performance reviews, feedback, and guidance.

• Transfer deliverables and perform other assigned job-related tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in a scientific or statistical field; equivalent combination of education and relevant programming experience may substitute for a degree.

• Significant programming experience in SAS or other required software, preferably within a clinical trial setting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

• Capability to lead statistical programming initiatives and guide other programming personnel.

• Familiarity with Statistical Analysis Plans, mock shells, programming specifications, annotated CRFs, and SAS database design.

• Ability to adhere to relevant SOPs, WIs, and regulatory guidelines such as ICH.

• Competence in managing multiple projects, schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
