This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.
• Create and implement both technical and non-technical solutions for moderate to complex business requirements and changes.
• Collect, compile, and analyze information and data; assess current systems and procedures; pinpoint alternative actions.
• Develop tools and enhancements using existing software packages and oversee the development and deployment of new functionalities and applications.
• Aid in the planning for conversion and operational support for multiple concurrent projects.
• Manage training initiatives as necessary.
• Evaluate the impacts of requirements and designs across Epic and third-party applications, providing recommendations for solutions.
• Operate independently as a key integration point among design teams.
• Conduct systems analysis, design, configuration, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support.
• Act as a resource for assigned applications, responding to user inquiries.
• Convey complex project requirements, specifications, impacts, updates, training, and support information to users.
• Collaborate with both business and technical teams on issues, changes, and enhancements affecting data, workflow, and functionality.
• Serve as a bridge between the business community and the IT organization.
• Provide guidance to users regarding the symplr platform and other software capabilities and limitations.
• Assess vendor solutions and software enhancements for compliance with technical standards.
• Analyze business and clinical service line operations to discover opportunities for process automation.
• Assist in redesigning and documenting business processes.
• Provide recommendations on buy-versus-build decisions and conduct feasibility assessments.
• Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocations, scopes, and budget estimates.
• Oversee system development, implementation, operation, maintenance, application design, testing, documentation, and performance monitoring.
• Help guarantee system availability and data integrity.
• Coordinate the creation of reports, queries, forms, and screens.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related field.
• Generally requires 5 years of experience in moderate to complex business process mapping, analysis, business and user requirements, acceptance testing, and documentation.
• Skilled in applications, operating systems, and databases, including hardware, platforms, connectivity, and interface design.
• Proficient in specifying user requirements, liaising with technical and healthcare staff and vendors, and documenting user needs, outcomes, and procedures.
• Strong project management capabilities and familiarity with project management software.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and instruct and mentor team members.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Technical problem-solving ability and logical, organized thinking.
• Strong skills in problem and issue resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage customer interactions effectively.
• Capability to work closely with healthcare application users, vendors, and technical professionals.
• Proficient in translating user requirements into system specifications.
• Understanding of change management practices and procedures.
• Demonstrated comprehension of technical components and their relationship to applications.
• No licensure, registration, or certification is necessary.
• Ability to sit for up to 80% of the workday.
• Fine motor skills required for using a computer keyboard.
• Willingness to travel for work-related purposes.
• Must be capable of operating all equipment necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
