Senior Specialty Consultative Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct both inbound and outbound calls to patients/members regarding medication therapy, management of side effects, and reporting of adverse events.

• Evaluate and assess member conditions with a focus on medication therapy through telephonic communications.

• Create and implement detailed care plans.

• Track patient progress through consistent assessments.

• Provide medication education leveraging advanced telecommunications technology.

• Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy.

• Check for potential drug-drug interactions.

• Assess the appropriateness of disease states, dosage, directions, and therapy.

• Utilize electronic resources and guidelines to aid in professional decision-making.

• Report to a Supervising Specialty Operations Pharmacist.

• Participate in rotating Friday closing shifts and Saturday coverage.

• Engage in holiday rotation and mandatory overtime as necessitated by business demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy (PharmD).

• An active Pharmacist license from the state of Florida, Texas, Ohio, or Arizona Board of Pharmacy, free of restrictions or disciplinary actions.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a pharmacist in a high-volume retail, hospital, or mail-order pharmacy practice environment.

• Participation in Federal prescription programs.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.

• Familiarity with navigating multiple systems and platforms, alongside troubleshooting and resolving general technical issues in a remote setting.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve departmental objectives.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness for professional decision-making.

• Detail-oriented, accurate, and highly productive.

• Proficient in both verbal and written communication.

• Capability to meet remote work internet requirements: a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
