Senior Specialist, MES Technical Deployment – Ignition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Implement, upgrade, and stabilize the Ignition manufacturing execution system across manufacturing and distribution locations.

• Set up applications, screens, reports, and interfaces to align with business requirements and global standards.

• Assist with testing, commissioning, and go-live activities at the site level.

• Provide user training and post-deployment support to enhance adoption, data quality, and user confidence.

• Diagnose system, integration, and network issues in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

• Create reporting and analytics to support operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and performance insights.

• Participate in the development of global documentation, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Convert business requirements into functional MES requirements and technical specifications.

• Work alongside manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and external technology partners.

• Assist with site deployments and stabilization, which may involve some international travel.

• Operate independently within a global manufacturing technology team.

• Report directly to the Manager of MES Technical Deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), particularly with the Ignition software platform.

• Ignition Certification is required; Gold certification is highly preferred.

• Experience with MES integrations alongside ERP, CMMS, and other non-MES systems.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.

• Familiarity with MES platforms including FactoryTalk, OpsCenter, Vorne, Mattec, or similar technologies.

• Understanding of ANSI/ISA-95 and Industry 4.0 principles.

• Experience in supporting testing procedures, system validation, and commissioning tasks.

• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities using Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to work independently while engaging in a global, matrixed environment.

• Experience providing technical training or user enablement initiatives.

• Knowledge of industrial automation and programming platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, GE, or Iconics.

• Experience with Rockwell Software solutions in a manufacturing or distribution context.

• Working knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and support, particularly with Allen Bradley/Rockwell platforms.

• Experience with industrial networking, including Ethernet/IP architectures.

• Hands-on experience with network and managed switch configuration in operational technology/industrial settings.

• Ability to work from Poland.

• CV must be submitted in English.
