Senior Specialist – Learning Design, Capacity Building – Vocational Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop an engaging, learner-centered Vocational Education framework that integrates the NEP/NCF-SE with Udhyam's Entrepreneurial Mindset approach.

• Incorporate relevant national and international insights into a practical learning model for government schools.

• Create and adapt the curriculum for Grades 9–10, including student books/workbooks, teacher handbooks, and Teaching-Learning Materials.

• Design interactive, contextual learning experiences that involve exploration, choice, problem-solving, and real-world applications.

• Develop competency-based assessments, practical tasks, project evaluations, observation tools, competency rubrics, portfolios, reflection tools, and written assessment items.

• Create and lead Training of Trainers, teacher development modules, and practical resources.

• Enhance Master Trainer capabilities so they can serve as facilitators, coaches, and anchors for program quality.

• Pilot the educational approach in schools with teachers and students; collect feedback to refine the curriculum and implementation model.

• Document implementation evidence, teacher feedback, student work, and learning observations to enhance curriculum design.

• Guide and mentor a small team of professionals focused on curriculum, content, and training.

• Set the strategic direction, develop team capabilities, assess outputs, and promote experimentation and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Udhyam teams, government stakeholders, and partners to establish model schools, enhance academic quality, and scale the program effectively.

• Assist in designing AI-enabled mentoring and teacher support materials that align with the program's pedagogy.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–10 years of relevant experience in curriculum design, learning design, teacher development, vocational education, experiential learning, or similar educational programs.

• Proven ability to translate educational concepts and frameworks into simple, engaging, and practical learning experiences for both students and teachers.

• Experience in developing curriculum, textbooks/workbooks, teacher resources, or assessments.

• Background in teacher training or adult facilitation; capable of designing and leading engaging training programs.

• Ability to work directly with schools, teachers, and learners, using field insights to enhance the learning model.

• Strong conceptual thinking skills with a personal ability to write, create, prototype, and refine educational materials.

• Curious, innovative, and open to experimentation; able to thrive in a dynamic program where not all elements are predefined.

• Comfortable collaborating with government teams, educators, subject matter experts, and internal program teams.

• Experience in vocational education, project-based learning, entrepreneurship education, or government-school systems will be considered a plus.

• Flexibility to be based anywhere; being located in Delhi/Gurgaon/Bhopal or the ability to travel frequently to Madhya Pradesh is an advantage.
