This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
β’ Oversee and address the complete process of employee exits across various international jurisdictions.
β’ Offer expert advice to clients regarding termination, resignation, transfer, employment contracts, and redundancy procedures.
β’ Lead and manage workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, along with guidance on terminations and their outcomes.
β’ Negotiate and influence favorable results in complex termination scenarios.
β’ Collaborate with payroll, legal representatives, government agencies, trade unions, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance during offboarding activities and audits.
β’ Create, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documentation while safeguarding confidential employee information.
β’ Execute offboarding procedures on Remoteβs internal HRIS platform in coordination with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Attendance, and other departments.
β’ Act as a subject-matter expert in offboarding issues and address inquiries from both internal and external sources.
β’ Assist clients in navigating Employee Relations resources, policies, and processes.
β’ Conduct initial evaluations of workplace issues and identify relevant local regulations.
β’ Coordinate the management of employee relations cases.
β’ Aid clients in implementing progressive disciplinary measures and documentation requirements.
β’ Track employee relations cases and ensure prompt follow-up actions.
β’ Contribute to enhancements in processes, automation, product development, and initiatives aimed at improving customer and employee experiences.
β’ Report directly to the Manager of Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions.
β’ Previous experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, showcasing generalist HR skills and exposure throughout the employee lifecycle.
β’ Demonstrated experience with a robust background in handling both voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with empathy, sensitivity, and adherence to legal standards; along with providing comprehensive HR support and guidance concerning employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
β’ Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR challenges, conduct research, offer practical solutions, and effectively communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders when navigating ambiguous and unfamiliar environments.
β’ Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive disciplinary tactics, and fundamental workplace investigation practices.
β’ Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to confidently steer challenging conversations toward positive outcomes, even when parties have opposing interests while upholding professionalism and strict confidentiality.
β’ Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, with knowledge of additional languages being advantageous.
β’ A strong inclination and desire to innovate and enhance processes, consistently identifying and executing opportunities for automation while advocating best practices.
β’ Operational efficiency with a keen awareness of the significance of meticulous record-keeping and data integrity.
β’ Tech-savvy, capable of collaborating asynchronously using diverse tools, and adapting to new and evolving systems.
β’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international team in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote setting with competing priorities. Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
