Senior Specialist, Employee Relations, EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee and address the complete spectrum of employee exits across various international jurisdictions.

• Provide expert advice to clients regarding termination, resignation, transfer, employment contracts, and redundancy processes.

• Lead consultations on workforce reductions, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, as well as termination guidance and outcome meetings.

• Facilitate positive resolutions in intricate terminations while balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders.

• Collaborate with payroll, legal counsel, government entities, trade unions, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant offboarding and audits.

• Draft, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documents while safeguarding confidential employee records.

• Execute offboarding processes within Remote’s internal HRIS platform in coordination with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams.

• Act as a subject-matter expert for both internal and external inquiries related to offboarding.

• Assist clients in navigating Employee Relations resources, policies, and processes.

• Perform initial evaluations of workplace concerns and identify relevant local regulations.

• Coordinate the management of employee relations matters and aid in the documentation of progressive discipline.

• Track employee relations cases and ensure timely follow-ups.

• Contribute to enhancements in processes, automation, product development, and initiatives aimed at improving customer and employee experiences.

• Report directly to the Manager of Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, demonstrating generalist HR skills and exposure throughout the employee lifecycle.

• Proven track record in managing both voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with empathy, sensitivity, and legal adherence.

• Experience delivering comprehensive HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.

• Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR challenges, conduct research, provide practical solutions, and communicate recommendations effectively.

• Fundamental understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline strategies, and workplace investigation basics.

• Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict resolution, and negotiation capabilities.

• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

• Capacity for process innovation, optimization, automation, and adherence to best practices.

• Strong focus on operational efficiency, meticulous record-keeping, and data integrity.

• Technologically adept, capable of collaborating asynchronously using evolving systems.

• Ability to work independently and effectively within an international, fast-paced, asynchronous remote environment with multiple priorities.

• Openness to working flexible hours as required.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable with a sense of ownership.

• Strong capabilities in automation and AI, along with fluency in AI technologies.
