Senior Specialist, Employee Relations – EMEA

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee and address the complete employee exit process across various international jurisdictions.

β€’ Provide guidance to clients on matters such as termination, resignation, transfer, employment contracts, and redundancy procedures.

β€’ Facilitate client and external employee meetings, which include consultations for workforce reductions, administrative hearings, negotiations regarding separations and settlements, guidance on terminations, and delivery of termination results.

β€’ Negotiate and influence favorable outcomes in intricate termination situations while balancing the interests of various stakeholders.

β€’ Collaborate with payroll, legal advisors, government agencies, trade unions, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant offboarding and audits.

β€’ Create, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documents while safeguarding confidential employee information.

β€’ Execute offboarding processes using Remote’s internal HRIS platform, working alongside Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams.

β€’ Act as a subject-matter expert for inquiries related to offboarding.

β€’ Assist clients in navigating Employee Relations resources, policies, and procedures.

β€’ Perform initial evaluations of workplace issues, identifying pertinent facts and relevant local regulations.

β€’ Coordinate the management of employee relations issues with both internal and external parties.

β€’ Aid clients in implementing progressive disciplinary measures and documentation requirements.

β€’ Track employee relations cases to ensure timely follow-up.

β€’ Contribute to enhancements in processes, automation, product development, and initiatives aimed at improving customer and employee experiences.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, with a broad range of HR competencies and familiarity throughout the employee lifecycle.

β€’ Demonstrated experience with a solid background in managing both voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with sensitivity, care, and adherence to legal standards; along with offering comprehensive HR support and advice on employment laws and regulations across diverse jurisdictions.

β€’ Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze intricate HR challenges, conduct research, provide actionable solutions, and effectively communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in ambiguous and unfamiliar settings.

β€’ Basic knowledge of employee relations principles, progressive disciplinary strategies, and fundamentals of workplace investigations.

β€’ Outstanding communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to lead challenging discussions toward favorable resolutions, often amid conflicting interests, while upholding professionalism and confidentiality.

β€’ Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English is essential, with additional languages being an advantage.

β€’ Eagerness and capability to innovate and streamline processes, consistently identifying and implementing automation opportunities while promoting best practices.

β€’ Operational efficiency, with an understanding of the importance of meticulous record-keeping and data integrity.

β€’ Tech-savvy, capable of collaborating asynchronously across various tools, and adapting to new and evolving systems.

β€’ Ability to work independently and cohesively within an international team in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment with competing priorities. Flexibility in working hours is required as needed.

β€’ Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

β€’ Exhibits strong automation and AI proficiency.
