Senior Specialist, Employee Relations – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and address the complete process of employee departures across various international jurisdictions.

• Provide guidance to clients on matters related to termination, resignation, transfer, employment contracts, and redundancy procedures.

• Facilitate workforce reduction discussions, administrative hearings, separation negotiations, termination advice, and outcome meetings.

• Achieve favorable results in complex termination scenarios while balancing the interests of various stakeholders.

• Collaborate with payroll, legal counsel, government entities, trade unions, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant offboarding and audits.

• Create, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documents while safeguarding confidential employee information.

• Execute offboarding tasks within Remote’s internal HRIS platform alongside Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams.

• Act as a subject-matter expert for inquiries related to offboarding.

• Assist clients in navigating Employee Relations resources, policies, and procedures.

• Carry out initial evaluations of workplace issues and identify relevant local regulations.

• Manage employee relations issues in coordination with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Aid clients with progressive disciplinary measures and documentation needs.

• Track employee relations cases and ensure prompt follow-up.

• Contribute to enhancements in processes, automation, product development, and initiatives aimed at improving customer and employee experiences.

• Report directly to the Manager of Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, with a strong foundation in generalist HR competencies and exposure to the employee lifecycle.

• Demonstrated experience in managing both voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with care, sensitivity, and adherence to legal compliance.

• In-depth HR support and insight on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.

• Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR challenges, conduct research, offer practical solutions, and effectively communicate recommendations.

• Basic knowledge of employee relations principles, progressive discipline strategies, and workplace investigation basics.

• Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.

• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.

• Strong inclination towards innovation, process improvement, automation, and best practices.

• Operational efficiency, meticulous record-keeping, and data integrity skills.

• Tech-savvy with the ability to collaborate asynchronously using various tools and adapt to changing systems.

• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in an international, fast-paced, remote environment.

• Willingness to adjust working hours as necessary.

• Self-driven and accountable with a proactive mindset.

• Strong capabilities in automation and AI, along with fluency in AI principles.

• Prior completion of an employment verification check.
