Senior Sourcing Manager – Contract Manufacturing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement global sourcing and contract manufacturing strategies for PCBAs/Boards across all S&C value streams

• Act as the subject matter expert in contract manufacturing and strategic supplier management

• Lead and direct cross-functional teams

• Manage relationships with key global suppliers and contract manufacturing partners

• Influence investment decisions, capacity allocation, technology roadmaps, and long-term partnership strategies of suppliers

• Enhance supplier capabilities and prepare for manufacturing readiness

• Prioritize technical support for obsolescence and execute strategies for supply-risk reduction

• Align contract manufacturing strategies with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Product Management, and functional leadership

• Develop standard operating procedures, roles, and responsibilities for contract manufacturing

• Formulate supplier selection, qualification, and risk-management strategies

• Lead sourcing decisions, supplier evaluations, and executive review sessions

• Ensure supply continuity, capacity assurance, and development of supplier capabilities

• Manage supplier selection for new product development projects

• Coordinate updates and strategies for BOM risk calculation and risk mitigation

• Establish supplier readiness protocols for project milestones and manage risks related to end-of-life, obsolete, sole-source, and late-design changes

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, corporate policies, and local laws

• Assist international business units in adhering to compliant sourcing practices

• Drive improvements in supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and risk management

• Adhere to relevant company policies and regulations

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of proven experience working with electronics suppliers in the manufacturing sector

• Established track record in managing global sourcing projects with intricate supply chains

• Extensive knowledge of international sourcing strategies and supplier management

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for industrial products and components

• Capability to oversee large-scale sourcing projects with minimal supervision

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure project objectives are achieved

• Strong critical thinking, organizational, planning, and project management abilities

• Proficient in coordinating internal and external resources, managing diverse projects within deadlines and budgets

• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, navigate conflicts, moderate behaviors, and encourage collaboration

• Effective written, verbal, listening, and presentation communication skills

• Capacity to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams

• Strong business acumen and analytical skills, including data analysis for decision-making and continuous improvement

• Financial acumen and numerical proficiency for strategic financial decisions and negotiations

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Willingness to travel internationally

• Bachelor's degree in engineering

• Experience with Oracle Sourcing functions is preferred

• MBA is preferred

• CSM, CPSM, or CSCP certification is preferred
